Why FarHugs exists
Living in New Zealand while family is in Nepal makes the distance especially real around birthdays, Dashain, and the ordinary Sundays when you simply want to say, “I’m thinking of you.”
Sending a thoughtful gift should feel joyful, but it can become a search for spare suitcase space or weeks of uncertainty about a standard parcel. FarHugs was created to make that gesture feel considered and personal: curated goods purchased in New Zealand, carefully transported to Nepal, packed into branded gift boxes in Nepal, and delivered to the recipient’s door.
Nepal is my birthplace and homeland. New Zealand is where I started my first work. FarHugs brings those two parts of my life together so families can send a little piece of their life here with the warmth of a hug from afar.
